ACS712 Current Sensor Carrier -5A to +5A
This board is Allegro's ±5A ACS712T ELC-5B magnetic linear current sensor. This version allows for a bidirectional current input of up to 5 amps. It provides an analog voltage output (185 mV/A) with an error rate of less than 5%.
Designed for bidirectional input currents from -5 to 5 A (the stable sensor IC can withstand up to five times the overcurrent). The internal resistance of the conductive path is typically 1.2 mΩ. Using a Hall effect sensor means that the IC can electrically isolate the current path from the sensor’s electronics (up to 2.1 kV RMS), allowing the sensor to be placed anywhere on the current path and used in applications requiring electrical isolation. By adding a capacitor to the filter pins on the board, the 80 kHz bandwidth can be optionally reduced.
High accuracy and reliability: typical total output error at room temperature and factory calibration is 4%, very stable output offset voltage, and near-zero magnetic hysteresis. The IC sensor can withstand up to five times the overcurrent. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C.
