The GY-APDS9960 sensor module is equipped with an APDS-9960 chip that provides ambient light and color measurement, proximity detection, and contactless gesture recognition. This versatile sensor allows you to control devices like computers, microcontrollers, and robots with simple hand gestures within a detection range of 4-8 inches (10-20 cm). The APDS-9960 chip, which is the same sensor used in devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5, includes UV and IR blocking filters, directional sensitivity with four separate diodes, and an I2C-compatible interface.
