GY-MAX4466 Electret Microphone Amplifier Module
The GY-MAX4466 Electret Microphone Module operates within the frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. Featuring the MAX4466 operational amplifier (OP-amp), this module amplifies the microphone signal to the desired level. With the adjustable resistor on the back, you can set the gain to amplify the input signal by a factor of 25 to 125 times.
The module is designed to work with both 5V and 3.3V power sources, with an operating voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V. Using a 3.3V power source with Arduino typically yields better signal quality, as the 5V output from Arduino may be louder. The output pin is suitable for driving very small headphones, but for larger headphones or speakers, an additional amplifier is required. The output voltage (Vout) is offset to be half of the input voltage (Vin) in a quiet environment. Depending on the application, a decoupler might be necessary. For use with Arduino or similar microcontrollers, no additional signal isolation (decoupler) is needed; simply connect the output pin directly.
